Direct Lamination

Direct lamination is new technology that allows the practitioner to laminate the prosthesis directly on the patients ’s residual limb. The lamination is done under a pressure from a special ballon that will simulate standing pressures. This gives the patient a very comfortable fitting prosthetic. The process typically takes 3 hours, but the patient walks out of the that day with a custom-made prosthetic. This process saves several office visits. Patients have really enjoyed being more involved in the creating of the prosthetic. We are the first clinic in Orlando to offer this new technology.
